Title: Three drawings and a manuscript extract from the Ashmolean Museum Department of Antiquities Accession Register, Number Pr 371.
Content: Three drawings of an axe head - side, section and front views. The extract from the Accessions Register is beneath the drawings. It mentions that the item was found at Long Wittenham in a river bank on the Berkshire side of the Thames just below Long Wittenham weir in March 1883. It was in the collection of Reverend J.C. Clutterbuck and subsequently in the possession of Admiral W.R. Clutterbuck of Long Wittenham on 18 November 1908 before being deposited in the Ashmolean Museum.
