Title: Transcript of Ashmolean Museum Antiquities Department Accessions Register, Number 1886.1449. Also reference to publication: 'Rolleston's Scientific Papers and Addresses, Volume II, p.944.'
Content: Entry for a bone spindle-whorl and fragments of bronze bands labelled 'Yarnton, 23 November 1876.' Both came to the Ashmolean Museum from Professor Rolleston's collection at the University Museum of Natural History. A note below the entry based on information from 'Rolleston's Scientific Papers and Addresses, Volume II, p.944' mentions that the bronze bands were found near the left wrist of a skeleton with an umbo and spear (number 1886.1444) at Yarnton.
