Marston Item No.: 1 No. of Sheets: 1
Title: Manuscript extract from publication: 'John Evans' Ancient Stone Implements, 1897, p.593' and a note by Mr Percy Manning
Content: Concerning two flint implements found near Marston Ferry in a gravel pit. Both in the 'New Museum' (The University Museum at Oxford?). The publication extract suggests that Mr Henry Balfour could provide some information on the objects. The note by Mr Percy Manning describes the location of gravel pits at Folly Bridge in Oxford and mentions that one implement in the University Museum was found in 1874 by Sir Joseph Prestwich. Goes on to briefly describe the item.
