Title: Letter from Mr J.J. Carter of 11 New Street, St Clements, Oxford, to Percy Manning.
Content: Concerning finds from the county of Oxfordshire which Carter has sent to Manning. Mentions flints from the Stow wood (and how he was apprehended by the keeper there who thought he was a poacher), unspecified finds from Shotover, pottery from Cuddesdon and a coin from Denton. Also mentions the hollow slab found three feet below the earth by labourers harvesting sweeds in a field near Denton, as recorded in 1648MANN/1/MS/154/10.
