| Content: | Concerning Roman finds from Fringford Lodge. Two human skeletons were found around 1860 and remains of tessellated pavements (some of the tesserae were in the possession of Reverend E. Withington who owned the property). Near the pavement was an underground chamber with two or three steps leading down to it, possibly the site of the hypocaust or bath. In the adjoining field were found coins. | ||||
