| Content: | Concerning the standing stone at Tarston and how it may have contributed to the naming of the village. Mentions a 14th century deed relating the name 'Taston' to a 14th century family called 'Torstan'. A note by Mr E.T. Leeds at the foot of the text gives the location of the stone and says that it is marked in the Ordnance Survey map as 'stone'. Also notes that he (Leeds) visited the stone on 19 August 1921. | ||||
