Title: Extract from the Ashmolean Museum Department of Antiquities Accssion Register, 1889.41. Also an ink drawing and a drawing on tracing paper adhered to the lined note paper.
Content: Entry for a sharpened, perforated bone found in a field between Elsfield and Beckley, presented to the museum by Mr J. Slay. Below this extract is an ink drawing of the bone. Below this is a note by Mr Percy Manning stating that a similar object to the one at the Ashmolean was found at Glastonbury. There is a traced drawing of the Glastonbury object at the foot of the page. A further note above this claims that six or seven more bones of a similar nature were found at Meare and are now in Taunton Museum.
