| Title: | Note by Mr Percy Manning based on information from Mr Arnatt of Parsonage Farm | ||||
| Content: | Concerning the field called Barrow Hill in which the two northernmost of the Devil's Quoits stand. Mr Arnatt mentions a barrow which was once in the field but levelled by his grandfather. He also notes that he has a Roman bronze fibula which he found in the field and two iron arrow-heads. In other fields on his land, called 'The Common', iron stirrups, horseshoes and a dagger had been found. | ||||
