| Content: | Note concerning Samian and other Roman pottery found in a gravel pit about 500 yards north of Lower Hill Farm, between the Farm and the river Thames. Some of the pieces were in the possession of Mr Davies of Wallingford. A further note below this information adds that Manning has the following Roman coins (all small brass), found in the garden of Slade End Farm at Brightwell: Tetricus; Quintillus, Contantius Chlorus; Allectus. Notes on Dorchester crossed out on the reverse of the page. | ||||
