Title: Typed copy of a letter among the Havefield manuscripts: From Mr. Richard Hatt of Queenford, Dorchester, Wallingford, to Mr. F. Haverfield Esq.
Content: Concerning the discovery of workmen digging gravel of an incomplete skeleton 16 inches below the surface, with a broken spear-head throught the pelvis bone. Hatt writes to Haverfield on the suggestion of Mr Joseph Hewitt of Long Wittenham and invites him to visit and investigate the skeleton.
