Wittenham Item No.: 10 No. of Sheets: 1
Title: Two drawings with a note below them
Content: Page is headed 'Little Wittenham'. Drawings of a flint sraper, from the top and in section. Dimensions are given next to the drawings. Below the drawings is a note mentioning that the implement was in the J.C. Clutterbuck collection, then subsequently in the possession of Admiral W.R. Clutterbuck of Long Wittenham (18 November 1908) and finally in the Ashmolean Museum Department of Antiquities. The note continues to suggest that the item is possibly the flint scraper found at Little Wittenham near the Dorchester Hill Dykes which was mentioned in the 'Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries, Second Series, Volume VI, p.458' as having been exhibited to the Society by Reverend J.C. Clutterbuck on 16 December 1875.
