Title: Manuscript extract from publication: 'The Natural History of Oxfordshire' Robert Plot ed. 1705, p. 343' and a note by Mr Percy Manning
Content: Concerning the discovery of a Danish spur in the possession of Mr George Sherman of Bicester. Mentions that there is an engraving of the item by Mr Olaus Wormius in 'Monument Danicor, Lib.1, cap. 7, p.50, figure E.' The note by Mr Percy Manning includes a brief sketch of the item taken from the englaving and observes that the spur was a long shanked medieval spur with 11 point rowel.
