Content: | The extract is headed 'Abingdon, Berkshire' and has been written on a separate strip of paper adhered to the sheet. The entry is for an iron spear head, socketed, with blunt lead shaped blade found in the Thames near Abingdon. The dimensions are given and it is added that the socket overlaps on the neck of the blade. Also mentions that the spear head is in the Christie collection. |
