| Title: | Typed noted based on information from Mr F. Ellis, 59 Berkeley Road, Bishopston, Bristol (from 1875-1883 associated with Mr Thomas Perdue, chemist, geologist and president of the Witney Natural History Society). | ||||
| Content: | Concerning an urn obtained from the gravel pits at Hardwick in 1876 by Reverend W.D. Macray of Ducklington. Pot was shown to Professor G. Rolleston who thought it was a Saxon food pot. Also a note asking where the urn is now. Below the typed note is adhered a letter from Miss M.K. Macray of the Warren, Barford St. Michael, Diddington, dated 25 May 1920 (possibly to Mr E.T. Leeds) explaining that the urn is in her possession. | ||||
