Abingdon Item No.: 8 No. of Sheets: 1
Title: Manuscript extract from publication: 'John Evans' Ancient Bronze Implements, 1st Edition, p.93.'
Content: The extract is headed 'Abingdon, Berkshire'. The publication reference is probably incorrect, as the two implement referred to in the extract are a polished stone celt (type of figure 46 in the publication) and a barbed arrow head (type of figure 327 in the publication). Manning probably meant to refer to John Evans' Ancient Stone Implements. A further pencil note adds that the items are not found in the Berkshire Victoria History.
