| Content: | The sheet is headed 'Tubney, Berks'. The extract is written on a seperate strip of paper adhered to the sheet. Entry for a black ware, jar shaped, Anglo-Saxon urn. Dimensions given. The item was found at Tubney in 1772 containing ashes. Below the extract is a publication reference: 'Berkshire Victoria History, Volume I, p.215'. The note also mentions that the item is in the Austin collection in the British Museum. | ||||
