Title: Transcript of extract from manuscript: 'Dryden MSS. 1858.'
Content: Concerning a circular pit west south west of Churchill Plain, excavated by Sir H. Dryden, among others. Transcript describes the site and mentions that bones and horns of the British ox were discovered there, along with sheep bones, boar bones, oyster shells and Roman pottery, iron fragments and an iron hook.
