Title: Extract from 'Proceedings of the Society of Anitquaries, Vol. IV, p.73, First series, 7 May, 1857', cut from the journal and adhered to the page.
Content: Report of the communication by Mr Akerman to the Society concerning the discovery of Anglo-Saxon remains at Broughton Poggs. Included four human skeletons. One was the grave of a woman, with two round fibulae and a hair pin buried with her. The other graves contained knife blades, one contained a buckle and another contained a spear-head. The extract explains that all the objects were exhibited to the Society of Antiquaries
