| Content: | Concerning the discovery of many urns and human remains while excavating to obtain gravel for the embankment of the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton railway line. All the human remains were lost and only one of the urns was deposited with the Ashmolean Museum. At the time of its discovery this urn contained a smaller urn. Extract includes a description of the site of discovery of the urn. | ||||
