Title: Note by Mr E.T. Leeds based on information from the foreman of the ballast pit belonging to Messrs. Turkhill and Sons in Cassington.
Content: Concerning the discovery there of 7 skeletons in a row and the items buried with them: Saxon knives and fragments of pottery. Also a note based on information from Mr Frederick Lay concerning four skeletons buried upright in the pit.
