Title: Manuscript extract from publication: 'John Evans' Ancient Stone Implements, 1897, pp.593 - 594.'
Content: List and descriptions of nine flint implements from Wolvercote gravel beds in the possession of Sir John Evans. He originally had eleven, but gave two away to the Ashmolean Museum. Bell described the gravel beds at Wolvercote and the implements found there in a paper contributed to the 'Antiquary, Volume XXX, October/November 1894'. It also mentions that Mr Bell had several implements in his collection and the Vicar of Wolvercote, Reverend F.W. Langton, had two or three.
