Title: Article by Mr Herbert Hurst cut from a newspaper and adhered onto lined note paper.
Content: Concerning a buried roadway beneath Carfax tower in central Oxford, which the author considers to date from the end of Roman occupation in Britain. The first page of the article appears to be missing. On the second page of those remaining is a printed drawing of cellars at Swindlestock.
