| Content: | Concerning the discovery by workmen in the garden of the Bishop of Oxford's palace at Cuddesdon of several human skeletons arranged in a circle with their heads outwards, lying on their faces with their legs crossed and the objects buried near them: Two sword blades, two small glass vases of pale blue transparent glass, a bronze vessel possibly for putting over the fire and a piece of ornamental bronze set with carbuncles or rubies and which had been gilt. The two vases and the bronze vessel have figure numbers written next to them in red ink referring to drawings in 1648MANN/1/MS/1/154/7 & 8. | ||||
