Content: Mentions an account given at a meeting by Mr Earwaker concerning the archaeological remains found in the neighbourhood of Oxford over the past year (Gold coin from Dorchester; Bronze remains from Dorchester, including fibulae, rings, armillae, portions of bronze mirrors, handles of bronze vessels, portions of bronze horse harnesses, bronze chain armour, two small bronze boxes with lids screwed to them, a small bronze object inlaid with gold wire (possibly the trunk of an elephant broken off a figurine); Two fibulae found on the breast of a skeleton at Kirtlington; Objects found during the drainage works at Oxford now in the Ashmolean Museum: Bone needle from the High Street, net-sinker of burnt clay found opposite St Mary's Church, silver spoon; Anglo-Danish sword from Bogs Mill, Abingdon; Roman keys from Burford). Mentions also the exhibition by Dr A.J. Evans of portion of an Anglo-Danish sword found near Abingdon.
