Content: | The extract is headed 'Abingdon, Berkshire' and has been written on a separate strip of paper adhered to the sheet. The entry is for a bronze fibula, penanular, of the Irish type, with enamel at the two ends, found under the foundations of an old house, High Street, Abingdon. Gives dimensions and a further publication reference: 'Berkshire Victoria History, Volume I, p.247'. Also mentions that the beads are in the Jesse King collection. |
