| Content: | Concerning the excavation of the 'Celtic Long Barrow' in Maggotsgrove near Crawley by Professor Rolleston on July 3 1876 and the objects and remains found there - fifty or sixty skeletons, some grey ware pottery and a small bronze buckle (now in the Ashmolean Museum). Also records the 'swapping' of skulls by Professor Rolleston - one whole one from the Witney collection for an Ancient Peruvian one from Mr Thomas Perdue. | ||||
