Content: The extract is headed 'Abingdon'. Entry for a collection of Roman pottery found in drainage in Abingdon, including Samian ware with potters marks and several pieces showing Late Celtic affinities of grey 'smother-kiln' ware. Also gives two publication references: 'Archaeologia, Volume LII, p.354' and 'Berkshire Victoria History, Volume I, p.194.'
