Title: Sheet of notes with a black and white photograph of an urn adhered to it
Content: Notes include an extract from the Ashmolean Museum Department of Antiquities Accession Register, 1887.3021. Entry for an urn (the urn in the photograph) which was given to the museum by Sir Arthur J. Evans on 20 July 1887. The urn was found at Abingdon. Dimensions are given. A further note adds that the item was not in the 'Victoria History of Berkshire', but is 'Abercromby. Type y3. One example from Yorkshire, eleven from Scotland'. A later note in blue ink notes that the item was sent to the Natural History Museum in Copenhagen as and exchange in January 1852.
