Title: Manuscript extract from publication: 'Ancient Limits of Wychwood Forest' by Mr J.Y. Akerman, 14 January 1858 in Archaeologia, Vol. XXXVII, p.432.
Content: Concerning the excavation by the author and two labourers of a tumulus near Crawley and their discovery there of three inhumations lying next to each other. One of the skeletons was buried with a small bronze buckle, which had some leather still adhereing to it at the time of discovery. The buckle is now in the Ashmolean Museum Department of Anitquities.
