| Title: | Two manuscript extracts from publication: 'Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of London, Second Series, Volume XVIII, p.15' | ||||
| Content: | Two extracts from this page of the publication. Concerning crop marks, mainly lines and rectangles, showing the site of a Late Celtic Romano British settlement, similar to that at Long Wittenham, on the north side of the road from Radley to Abingdon, seen by Mr Frank Haverfield. Haverfield queried whether or not this was the same site mentioned by Akerman in the Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of London, Second Series, Volume II, p. 248. He also noticed circles at Radley on the east side of the Great Western Railway, near the 59 mile post out of Paddington. | ||||
