Especially the cutting through of a tessellated pavement during the construction of the Great Western Railway. A note by Mr Percy Manning below the extract claims that Mr Earwaker in a description of the North Leigh villa in the same publication, Volume II, p.39, said that another villa had been found in the making of the railway at Fawler. | ||||
