Title: Manuscript extract from publication: 'Oxford Architectural and Historical Society, Volume II, p.348, November 29th, 1871'.
Content: A letter by Mr J.P. Earwaker on the neglected state of the Roman villa at North Leigh. Especially the cutting through of a tessellated pavement during the construction of the Great Western Railway. A note by Mr Percy Manning below the extract claims that Mr Earwaker in a description of the North Leigh villa in the same publication, Volume II, p.39, said that another villa had been found in the making of the railway at Fawler.
