Content: Concerning the exhibition by Dr Joseph Stevens of two Neolithic celts found five feet under the earth by a workman digging a trench on 'Clapper Island' in the Thames, which lies between an arm of the Thames known as 'The Clapper' and a smaller branch which runs on towards Caversham. Also details the discovery of timber, bones of red deer, small ox and dog with the implements. Both implements were subsequently placed in Reading Museum.
