Title: Transcript by Mr Percy Manning of extract from Rolleston MS, University Museum Department of Comparative Anatomy.
Content: Headed 'Oxford and Berks Brick Company, St Giles Field.' Concerning the discoveries in the brickyard on three days: 25, 26 and 30 March 1875. These were three human skeletons, three drinking vessels and a flint arrow-head. One of the drinking vessels was given by Mr A. Maclaren to Professor G. Rolleston. Rolleston and Canon Greenwell discovered the third skeleton, two of the drinking vessels and the arrow-head while excavating after having been told of the first discoveries (two skeletons and a drinking vessel). Transcript also includes the notes dictated to Mr Thomas Dodd by Professor Rolleston at the site of the discovery describing exactly the state of the third skeleton when it was uncovered.
