| Content: | Sheet is entitled 'Sutton Courtenay, Berkshire'. The extract is written on a seperate strip of paper, adhered to the sheet. Entry for a bronze dagger blade, found at Sutton Courtenay. Gives a description of the item and mentions that it is in the Jesse King collection in the British Museum. Also refers to a similar type of dagger mentioned in 'John Evans' Ancient Bronze Implements, p.223'. The drawing adhered below the register extract is traced from the publication: 'Victoria History of Berkshire, Volume I, p.195, figure opposite p. 186' (this reference is written above the drawing). A further descriptive note adds that the dagger is 'bronze, quite plain, no rib or moulding'. | ||||
