Dorchester Item No.: 7 No. of Sheets: 1
Title: Note by Mr Percy Manning
Content: Notes on part of a human pelvis transfixed with a broken bronze spear-head from Dorchester. Mentions that it was deposited in the Ashmolean Museum by Mr R. Hatt in 1901 along with a shell (possibly oyster shell) amulet. Also mentions that the museum has no information about the objects and they are not recorded in the Department of Antiquities accession registers. Only useful information is that they were found in the 'Dyke Hills'. There is a diagram of the shell amulet and a cross-section of the spear-head.
