| Title: | Transcript of two notes from Mr T.H. Powell by Mr Percy Manning. Also a note by Mr Percy Manning | ||||
| Content: | Concerning the 'British cemetery' at Benson described by Reverend. J.E. Field. Explains that Mr Moyen of Wallingford Grammar School had some pottery in his possession which was found there. Also mentions that the pottery was probably found in pot holes in the gravel filled with dark mould. The note by Mr Percy Manning in between the two transcripts claims possession of some of the pottery, which he describes as being coarse dark grey and Romano-British. | ||||
