| Content: | Concerning the destruction of the Roman remains at Beaconsfield Farm, Great Tew and the rescue of a piece of tessellated pavement by Mr G.F. Stratton Esq which was subsequently preserved by Mr M. Bolton. Also describes the discovery of a pot of Roman coins 200 yards from the burial site and the exploration in 1827 by Mr Duncan and others of a Roman bath, furnace, lead pipes, courtyard and columns standing on a tessellated pavement (hypocaust?). | ||||
