Title: Two columns of an article cut from the Oxford Journal, March 16, 1872 and adhered to lined note paper.
Content: Concerning the discovery of an Anglo-Saxon burial near Witney. Describes the discovery by workmen of three interments and the objects found with them (Beads; Bronze ring; Knife; Skeleton of a small dog and bos longifrons; Two flat silver brooches; One silver buckle; One tooth pick and ear cleaner on a ring; One bronze diamond shaped brooch; Small urn; Long bladed spear; Boss of wooden shield), but only describes in detail the in situ finds in the third one, that of a young woman. There were three adult skeletons and one child's skeleton found in the interments.
