Content: Mentions that a barrow had been opened at Wychwood and in it discovered ashes, broken pottery, Roman coins, a whetstone and a flint spear-head. Manning notes that Reverend Hookins carried out many excavations in Wychwood Forest in 1858, but no account of those excavations was ever published.
