Title: Manuscript extract from publication: 'Transactions of the Oxford Architectural and Historical Society, Volume III, p.125-126, March 20, 1873'.
Content: Describes the Saxon interments found in a field by the side of the road leading from Witney to Burford. Mentions a spear-head and shield boss found in the second interment found and goes on to list the items found in situ in the third interment, that of a young woman (Beads; Bronze ornaments; Knife; Skeleton of a small dog and bos longifrons; Two flat silver brooches; One small bronze ornament; One silver buckle; Small urn). Thanks Professor Rolleston for allowing the items to be exhibited to the Society.
