Lower Heyford Item No.: 5 No. of Sheets: 1
Title: Letter from Mr R. Lennant of Lower Heyford to Mr E.T. Leeds
Content: Informs Leeds that the mother of the author of the letter is bringing to him a map on which he has marked the spot where a coin was found by a Mr Thomas. Also asks Leeds to confirm whether or not the coin was a denarius of Valentinian I of the Lyons mint. A note at the top of the letter by Leeds suggests that Leeds thought it was actually a Valentinianus I denarius of the Lugdunum mint, and refers to Cohen, 2nd edition, Volume VIII, p.89, Pl.18.
