| Content: | Concerning objects discovered on Callow Hill in the parish of Stonesfield in a rectangular enclosure of remains. Objects were: Roman tiles and pottery; A piece of Samian with the relief of a Satyr and two women dancing; A stone spindle whorl; Five flints - two flakes, a chipped ball and two scrapers. Manning provides another two publication references at the foot of the text: 'John Evan's Ancient Stone Implements, p.253, 268 and 336' and 'Ibid., Second Edition, p.281, 309, 376.' | ||||
