Title: Note based on information from Mr H.Hewett.
Content: Note mentions that Mr Hewett reported that a stone paved way was said to run in a north westerley direction from a point in the back-water about 130 yards below Little Wittenham Bridge, then turn west and fall into the road opposite the south east angle of the church yard. It passed under the farm house on the west side of the chuch yard. The note adds that Roman coins were found in the garden of the rectory.
