Title: Letter from Mr H.H. George Gray of the Somersetshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, based in Somerset County Museum in Taunton Castle, to Mr E.T. Leeds.
Content: Concerning the Anglo-Saxon iron objects found at Tythrop and donated to Taunton Museum by Reverend F. Warren. Confirms Mr Percy Manning's statement that Anglo Saxon iron objects had been found at Tythrop. Says they were not found in 1856 as Manning thought, but in 1854, and provides a publication reference for the objects: 'Proceedings of the Somersetshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, Volume V, 1854, Part I, p.15: spear-heads and other Roman Remains from Prythrop Park, Oxfordshire. From Reverend F. Warre, then Vicar of Bishops Lydeard near Taunton.' Mr George Gray also points out that 'Prythrop Park' is a mistaken form of 'Tythrop Park'. Written on the Society's headed notepaper.
