Title: Typed copy of a letter dated 6 March 1843 to Mr Murton, Weston Park, near Chipping Norton, possibly from Mr. W.C. Lukis
Content: Concerning a Roman urn dug from a stone pit in 1836 on the north side of the Rollwright and Little Compton road in the parish of Long Compton opposite the Druidical remains. The urn contained ashes and partly calcined bones. Items were for a while in the possession of Mr E. Wilmot. A note by E.T. Leeds states that the original letter was in the W.C. Lukis MSS. in the Lukis Museum, The Grange, Guernset.
