| Title: | Note by Mr Percy Manning | ||||
| Content: | Concerning a ring of amber coloured glass in his possession found on St Aldates in 1894 opposite the Town Hall. Also mentions that a section of the old roadway can be seen in the wine vaults of Mr W. Sotham on the west side of St Aldates. Thinks the ring may be Anglo-Saxon. A later note below the text suggests that the ring is actually Early Iron Age and that there is a similar one from Mere in the Taunton Museum. | ||||
