| Content: | Concerning the discovery of a Roman stone pitched road in 1887, five feet below the surface in a market garden between Crook's Lane and Hillsdon Lane on the North side of the upper road from Garsington to Oxford. The piece of road seemed to point towards the Roman road from Dorchester to Alchester. Also mentions that coins have been found in the vicinity. | ||||
